On Friday 23rd November, Years 3 and 4 had a special Stone Age activity afternoon in the woods to experience a little of what life would have been like in prehistoric Britain. We sampled some foods that Stone Age people would have gathered, collected wood for the fire, made shelters, created cave paintings and other art from natural materials and made wooden arrows / spears.
On Wednesday 14th November, Year 4 had a special bhangra lesson with the ‘Lions of Punjab’ dance group to celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights.
On Friday 9th November, Year 4 took part in a variety of activities to remember 100 years since the end of World War 1 and to celebrate the end of World War 2. These activities included a World War 2 ‘bake off’, performing ‘Wish me luck as you gave me goodbye’, taking part in a celebration assembly and dancing in a VE day party ‘tea dance’.
